Comment
I teach all levels in the same room at the same time. One techniques I'm using to get students to read aloud is to use a 1 1/2" PVC pipe with an elbow pipe on each end. They can ear themselves read without disturbing anyone.

Comment
Our program begins with Russian 1 in 7th grade at Smith Middle School. They continue through grade 12, when they take Russian 6 Advanced Placement. We use the Face to Face textbook off and on, but our curriculum also consists of many culture and history units developed by our teachers. In the spring of 2007 we began a new exchange program with the School for Global Education in St. Petersburg. |

Comment
This year's enrollment decreased, and I don't know what next year's figures will look like. It's a constant battle to attract students, and one problem is that I always have mixed levels. This year I have levels II and III together which makes it difficult to make real progress.
