I am a new Russian teacher at PGCPS, MD. I teach Introductory Russian to 56 students in 6th grade, Russian One to 69 students in 7th and 8th grade, and Russian Two to 24 students in 8th grade. The curriculum is based on the text-book GOLOSA. |

School regularly takes part in the ACTR National Russian Essay Contest and the ACTR Maryland Olympiada of Spoken Russian. Exchanges are conducted with a Moscow school every other academic year. |

Comment
We adopted Beginner's Russian and V Puti for Montgomery County Public Schools this year. Walt Whitman and Winston Churchill High Schools have worked collaboratively to bring improved Russian Language curriculum to our school district. For Heritage Speakers we use Russian: From Intermediate to Advanced. . |
