I teach all levels in the same room at the same time. One techniques I'm using to get students to read aloud is to use a 1 1/2" PVC pipe with an elbow pipe on each end. They can hear themselves read without disturbing anyone. The hardest part is to get guidance counselors to sign students up for Russian.

The Russian program in my school will be eliminated in the course of next two years due to low enrollment and introduction of other less commonly taught languages like Chinese and Arabic. Students feel that studying Chinese and Arabic is more practical than learning Russian.
